Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence in Kampala and begin the journey northwest toward Murchison Falls National Park. Travel through the Luwero Triangle and toward Masindi, with a stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino trekking experience. After the trek, enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing toward the national park.

Continue to Murchison Falls with sightseeing along the way as the landscape gradually changes from central Uganda toward the park's savanna environment. On arrival, proceed to your lodge, check in and relax after the day's journey.

Meals: Breakfast, picnic lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; approximately 5–6 hours of driving excluding the rhino experience and stops.
Overnight: Lodge or camp in Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 2

Murchison Falls Game Drive, Boat Cruise & Waterfall Hike

After breakfast, head out for a morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Search for elephants, lions, Cape buffaloes, Rothschild's giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, Bohor reedbucks and hyenas. With luck, you may also encounter a leopard as your driver-guide explores the park's wildlife areas.

Return to your lodge for lunch before taking a boat cruise along the Nile toward the bottom of Murchison Falls. Look for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda kobs and numerous bird species, including herons, geese, pelicans, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbills and cormorants. After the cruise, hike for approximately one hour to the top of the falls before returning to your accommodation for dinner.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; approximately 3-hour game drive, 2–3-hour boat cruise and approximately 1-hour waterfall hike.
Overnight: Lodge or camp in Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3

Murchison Falls Game Drive & Transfer to Moroto

After an early breakfast, set out on a morning game drive as you begin your journey out of the park. This final wildlife experience gives you another opportunity to observe animals and birds before leaving Murchison Falls. As you travel east and northeast, the vegetation and scenery gradually change.

Continue toward Moroto with lunch arranged en route. This is a long travel day, but it provides an opportunity to see Uganda's countryside evolve from the Murchison savanna toward the distinctive landscapes of northeastern Uganda. Arrive in Moroto later in the day, check into your accommodation and relax.

Karamojong Manyatta & Cultural Experience

Today is dedicated to experiencing the distinctive culture of the Karamojong people. With a local cultural guide, visit a traditional manyatta and learn about the community's way of life, social traditions, livestock-based livelihoods, beliefs, crafts and daily activities. The experience provides context for understanding a culture that has retained many traditional practices while adapting to contemporary Uganda.

You will also have an opportunity to experience traditional music and dances and interact with community members. Rather than simply observing, your visit is designed around respectful cultural exchange and learning directly from the people. Later, return to your accommodation in Moroto for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; local cultural excursion around the Moroto/Karamoja area.
Overnight: Hotel or lodge in Moroto.

Day 5

Moroto to Mbale & Mount Elgon Views

After an early breakfast, depart Moroto and travel toward Mbale. The journey takes you through changing landscapes as you move from the Karamoja region toward eastern Uganda. Along the route, you will have opportunities to appreciate the countryside and, depending on visibility and your route, views toward Mount Elgon, whose highest summit reaches approximately 4,321 metres.

Continue to Mbale with lunch arranged en route. On arrival, check into your accommodation and enjoy the evening at leisure. The location provides a convenient base for exploring the Mount Elgon area and experiencing the cultural and agricultural traditions of eastern Uganda.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; full-day transfer from Moroto to Mbale with lunch en route.
Overnight: Hotel or lodge in Mbale.

Day 6

After breakfast, travel into the Mount Elgon area for a day of mountain scenery and outdoor exploration. Depending on the selected trail and current park conditions, explore forest landscapes, waterfalls, caves, mountain viewpoints and other attractions around Mount Elgon. The area supports a variety of forest wildlife, including monkeys and smaller antelopes, while the wider ecosystem is also home to larger mammals.

Later, enjoy lunch before continuing with a local coffee experience. Learn how Arabica coffee is grown, harvested, processed and prepared by local farmers. You will also have the opportunity to experience the traditional Imbalu cultural ceremony and dances associated with the Bagisu people, subject to the local cultural calendar and availability.

Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; full-day Mount Elgon excursion with guided walking and cultural experiences.
Overnight: Hotel or lodge in Mbale.

Day 7

Mbale to Jinja & White-Water Rafting

After breakfast, travel toward Jinja, home to the Source of the Nile. The journey takes approximately two hours, depending on traffic and stops. Upon arrival, prepare for your white-water rafting adventure with a comprehensive safety briefing and fitting of the required rafting equipment.

The rafting experience takes place on a section of the White Nile, with a mixture of rapids that allows participants to build confidence before reaching more challenging sections. No previous rafting experience is required, although participants should be comfortable with an active water-based adventure. After rafting, enjoy a barbecue and drinks before transferring to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Meals: Breakfast, barbecue lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; approximately 2-hour transfer from Mbale to Jinja, followed by a guided rafting experience.
