This 7 Days Trip in Uganda combines some of Uganda's most memorable wildlife and primate experiences into one carefully connected journey. Starting with your arrival and transfer toward northwestern Uganda, the safari takes you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino experience before continuing to Murchison Falls National Park for game drives, a Nile boat cruise and views of the falls.
From Murchison Falls, the journey continues through the Albertine Rift landscapes toward Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking and an optional swamp walk. You then travel through the Queen Elizabeth National Park area toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for the highlight of the trip — gorilla trekking. The safari concludes with a scenic transfer to Entebbe, including a stop at the Equator and local craft shops before your departure flight.

Depending on your arrival time, meet your driver-guide and begin your journey toward northwestern Uganda. Travel toward Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you will take part in a guided rhino trekking experience and spend approximately one hour observing rhinoceroses in their protected environment.
After lunch, continue toward Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, visit the top of the falls and experience the dramatic scenery created by the Nile before proceeding to your accommodation. Check in, enjoy dinner and rest after your first day of travel.
Meals: Lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; full-day transfer from the arrival point toward Murchison Falls, including the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary experience.
Overnight: Lodge or camp in Murchison Falls National Park.

After breakfast, set out on a morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park. Search for lions, leopards, hyenas, elephants, giraffes and a variety of antelopes, including Uganda kobs, hartebeests, oribis, warthogs, waterbucks, bushbucks, buffaloes and reedbucks. The park also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities, with species such as ground hornbills, egrets, saddle-billed storks, bee-eaters and, with luck, the shoebill.
Return to your accommodation for lunch before heading to the Nile for an afternoon boat cruise toward the bottom of Murchison Falls. Watch wildlife gathering near the water, including hippos and Nile crocodiles, while looking for numerous bird species along the riverbanks. Return to your accommodation after the cruise for dinner and overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.

After breakfast, begin your transfer toward Kibale National Park. The journey takes you through the landscapes of western Uganda and across or alongside sections of the Albertine Rift. Along the way, enjoy views toward the western Great Rift Valley and, where visibility allows, Lake Albert and the surrounding escarpments.
Continue through areas known for their tea plantations before arriving at your accommodation near Kibale. Check in and enjoy the evening at leisure, preparing for the following day's chimpanzee tracking experience.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private 4x4 safari vehicle; full-day transfer from Murchison Falls to Kibale with scenic stops along the route.
Overnight: Lodge near Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, proceed to the Kibale visitor information centre for your chimpanzee tracking briefing. Your ranger guide will explain the forest guidelines before leading you into the forest in search of chimpanzees. The activity generally takes approximately 2–4 hours, depending on the location and movement of the chimpanzees.
During the trek, you may also encounter other primates, including red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys and other forest species. Later, you can choose an optional swamp walk to explore the wetland environment and its wildlife before returning to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Transport: Private vehicle to the tracking centre; approximately 2–4 hours of guided chimpanzee tracking, with an optional afternoon swamp walk.
Overnight: Lodge near Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, depart Kibale and continue toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey passes through the Queen Elizabeth National Park area, where you may encounter wildlife along the way. Depending on the route and current wildlife movements, there may also be an opportunity to look for the famous tree-climbing lions.
Continue through southwestern Uganda's changing landscapes toward Bwindi. Arrive at your accommodation, check in and relax ahead of your gorilla trekking experience the following day.

Overnight: Lodge near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the gorilla trekking briefing centre for registration and preparation. You will be assigned to a trekking group and accompanied by Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger guides into the dense Bwindi forest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek can take approximately 3–5 hours or longer depending on the location and movement of the gorillas and forest conditions. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend approximately one hour observing them in their natural habitat. After completing the trek, return to your accommodation and receive your participation certificate before dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, begin your journey toward Entebbe International Airport. The drive takes you across southwestern and central Uganda, with a planned stop at the Equator where you can take photographs, browse local crafts and purchase souvenirs.
Continue toward Entebbe and arrive at the airport according to your flight schedule. Because the journey from Bwindi to Entebbe is long and traffic conditions can vary, a late-night departure flight is recommended to provide a more comfortable margin for the road transfer and airport check-in.
